Say hello to Bronte Davy, Rare’s new Social Media Director. Bronte comes to us with 10 years of experience, much of it gained while working at The Red Republic and Red Havas in Brisbane.
Her experience is broad and covers a range of industries, from automotive and FMCG to health and travel. Most recently, she spent four years embedded in the higher education industry where she helped Queensland’s top universities refresh their social strategies and engage Gen Z audiences.
Bronte has led social media overhauls for household names such as Toyota, SunRice and Mariott Hotels and Resorts, empowered brands to go from trolled to celebrated on social media, and driven a dramatic spike in the University of Queensland’s social media, to the point where it ranked first in Queensland and fourth nationally by Edurank.
She has worked remotely with clients based in Sydney, Melbourne and New Zealand, led the development of Red Havas’s social media offering, winning over a million dollars in new business as she transformed clients’ behind-the-times channels to market leading, been named a Mumbrella CommsCon Community Manager of the Year finalist and won a Golden Target Award for pro bono work for Women’s Legal Service, which supports domestic violence victims.
On her move from Brisbane to Perth, Bronte said she felt a strong affinity for Rare’s values. “I found kindred spirits in the team at Rare. I really felt that, in relocating to Perth, I would be welcomed into a workplace that felt like a home. I wasn’t wrong.” In heading up Rare’s social media department, Bronte will lead a team of fresh and seasoned talent, whose shared passion and experience is proven to deliver innovative ideas and outstanding outcomes for clients.
