On the back of continued growth in new business, Rare has added several more staff across its suite of integrated services.
Rare Creative Director, Liz Hammond, says: “We’ve boosted capacity with the addition of Jess Marshall and look forward to seeing her continued growth as a young art director. It’s also great to welcome Leah Mammoliti back to her hometown. Her international experience adds to the breadth of our offering in the digital space.”
Since taking out second place at AWARD School in 2020, Marshall (pictured back left) has continued to earn accolades. She is the first creative in WA to be selected as a London International Awards mentee through the Creative LIAsons program.
Mammoliti (pictured front left) is another AWARD winner, taking out the top prize in 2015. Her career as an Art Director has taken her from Perth, to Melbourne, to London and then in late 2021, back to Perth again – collecting experience on blue-chip brands along the way.
Head of Digital, Shannon Murray, said: “Social is one of the fastest growing areas in the business and we are excited to welcome Eleanor to the team. She’s hit the ground running and has already made an impact with her fresh thinking.”
Eleanor Mitchell (pictured centre) recently graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing with a minor in Internet Communications and Graphic Design.
Alex Ventouras (pictured front right) also a recent graduate, he cut his teeth interning at the West Australian Football Commission before joining Rare as an Account Coordinator late last year.
Tyler Ronaldson (pictured second from the back right) has also started her advertising career at Rare. A recent Curtin University graduate, she joins the team as an Account Coordinator working on Bedshed and Joyce Corporations.
Serving as mentors to the new graduates are two internationally experienced team members: Helen Smeaton and Georgie Frampton.
Smeaton (pictured second from the back left) returned to Australia in November, after spending decades working for multinational agencies in Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and China. In her role as Client Services Director, she managed global brands across multiple markets, and has an outstanding reputation for both brand and fast turnaround retail accounts.
Frampton (pictured back right) started her career at Rare, over 12 years ago. After seven years in London, she has come full circle and returned to the agency where it all began. In the interim, she built a client portfolio of the worlds’ biggest brands, including Apple Music and The Coca-Cola Company.
The new hires not only bring Rare’s staff numbers close to 50, they also reflect the agency’s commitment to putting people first.
“This exceptional new crop of Rare talent reflects initiatives we have been working on as an agency,” says Simon Stewart, Director of Client Services. “By putting people at the centre of everything we do, we have continued our growth and diversification as a team. From new grads Alex, Eleanor and Tyler, to a returning staff member in Georgie, to the creation of a whole new role for Helen – our team goes from strength to strength and there are exciting times ahead.”
